Malmesbury is situated five miles north of M4 junction 17. The museum is located to the rear of the Tourist Information Centre in the Town Hall, by the Cross Hayes short stay car park. There is disabled parking at this end of the car park.
There are buses to Malmesbury from Chippenham and Swindon, which stop just outside.
